Flour tortillas

Introduction

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup warm water

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients using stand mixer and dough hook
  • Rest dough ball for 1 hour
  • Divide into balls. 9 burritos / 18 tacos
  • Optionally let these rest covered in the fridge until needed
  • When ready to cook, first flatten a single ball with a tortilla press and then roll out with a rolling pin
  • Cook on a comal set at medium heat until brown patches appear and tortilla is cooked through
  • Store in tortilla warmer or between towels
  • Repeat with remaining dough balls
  • Will keeps for a few days in a zip lock bag
